Where did the month go!? Seriously. I’ve decided to
ramble blog about my favorite beauty items of the month. Not a whole lot of products to mention because I seriously downsized my make up collection. I feel like, as I get older I don’t really want to fuss with my make up too much unless it’s for a special occasion. I also feel like I don’t NEED to have every new foundation, lipstick, lipgloss etc, etc that comes out on the market. For now, I just stick to what works for me. I don’t feel or need to add extra steps to my routine (primer? pfft i’ll skip that. 3 different mascaras? uuhm, no.)

Donna Karan Cashemere mist Deodorant – OMG why have I not purchased this before?! I have seen this stuff around since. like, forever but I never thought to purchase it. For one, the $20 price tag is a bit much and then I always thought that my drugstore deodorant worked just fine. Wrong, so wrong. The smell is amazing! it smells clean and feminine but not overpowering. I bought this at the beginning of October, 2 days before getting married. Planning a wedding (however small or big) can be stressful. Lots of running around and being out all day. Well this stuff works! not only does it keep you from getting smelly but it lasts aaaaaaaaall day. Like, for real I’m not even kidding. Definitely recommend this one and it is soooo worth the price! I pinky swear.
Chanel Les Beiges – So where do I even begin with this one. If you know me in real life, you know that I am a fairly tan person, naturally. That’s just it. I hate being tanner than my usual skin tone so I usually avoid tanners and bronzers like the plague. So one day I was perusing the beauty counters at macy’s and I see this. I have to admit I was drawn to the packaging (duh) and I loved how they made Giselle’s skin look. I don’t know, for whatever reason I decided to swatch it in my hand. It didn’t look muddy or too dark or anything like that. I decided to bite the bullet and purchase. If I was going to get a bronzer for the first time, I might as well go big. At first I thought it didn’t do much. But then I started playing around with it. You know, subtle contouring stuff like that. I really love to apply this and nothings else. I also like to apply it with some blush and highlighter. It’s a good look.
Unite Seven seconds condition – I have tried this in the past and I loved it! I did not repurchase because I wanted to see if there was something cheaper but still good out on the market. The truth is, I tried sooo many and I was not happy with them. I repurchased this one and i’m so glad I did! it smells great and does an amazing job at conditioning your hair and making it more manageable (which is good if you have unruly hair like me) This one gets a few bonus points from me because it also protects your hair from UV damage AND it’s a heat protectant all in one. I am all for an all in one kind of deal.
Lancome Hypnose mascara – If I could only have one item of make up it would be mascara. I have tried tons and tons and I have to say that I don’t have a favorite. As long as it doesn’t smudge and it makes my lashes look fuller and longer, it’s a good mascara. As of now I have only been using one mascara. This one does an amazing job at making my lashes look voluminous with like, 2 coats. say what!? I feel like it is worth the price tag and it wears pretty good all day. No smudging up top or bottom. That’s like one of my pet peeves. How many times have you gone about your day thinking you look good then to realize that you have smudges all up on your business. Not cute. So I have to say that I will repurchase this and that is a rare thing, my friends!
Lancome DreamTone: One word. Acne. It’s a bitch. I started with this terrible condition as soon as I hit puberty. Lucky me! So as you may guess, I have quite a few acne scars. woo hoo! I am always looking for something that will fade away those scars along with some hyperpigmentation. This has done a good job at fading some of those scars and making my skin look a bit more even. Although, I have to be honest, I don’t think I will get rid of those guys with just a serum or something of the such. The consistency of this is like a serum but thicker and with a flesh tone. It goes on your skin at takes a while to absorb. This product is a favorite but I will not be repurchasing simply because I want to see what else is out there in regards to evenness of skin and scars and stuff like that.
phew! what a mouthful.
